Our standards
Editorial Policy
Our goal is to explain health information in clear language without overstating what research shows.
Sources and evidence
Health claims should be checked against reliable sources such as government health agencies, systematic reviews, peer-reviewed research, and relevant professional organizations. Sources should be linked in the article and represented accurately.
Product reviews
Reviews should distinguish product-maker claims from independent evidence, clearly identify known limitations, check current price and refund terms before publishing, and avoid claiming that a product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents a disease unless that statement is properly supported and legally appropriate.
Corrections and updates
We aim to correct material errors and update time-sensitive details when reliable new information becomes available. Dates should reflect actual publication and update work.
Medical review
Unless an article explicitly identifies a qualified reviewer and describes the review performed, readers should not assume that a healthcare professional has reviewed it.
